Brit Tzedek v'Shalom

Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace

Memorial Day Campaign Launched

Boston Jewish Advocate
June 3-9, 2005

Brit Tzedek v'Shalom launched a new campaign this week, meeting with local politicians across the country to convey its national platform. The platform endorses the Gaza withdrawal plan as a "first step towards a return to the negotiating table," encourages an end to "Israeli or Palestinian unilateral actions that prejudice future negotiations such as Israeli settlement expansion and a Palestinian return to violence," and urges the expansion of direct aid to the Palestinian Authority. In Massachusetts, delegates are meeting with Rep. Barney Frank, Rep. Michael Capuano, Rep. Ed Markey and Rep. Bill Delahunt. National [Avocacy and Public Policy] co-chair Diane Balser said: "Our big message is to do no harm to the peace process."
