We invite you to attend the first National Leadership Training Institute of Brit Tzedek v'Shalom from January 31- February 3, 2003 in the Washington DC metro area. The three-day training conference aims to strengthen the leadership skills of chapter leaders and other members, and thereby help build the organization at both the national and local levels.

  WHO
Participation is open to 100 people. We have reserved spaces for three people per chapter to be identified by the chapter leadership. We have additional space for those interested in starting new chapters, building membership, and doing advocacy work. We welcome all applications and will take as many as we can.

  WHERE
Radisson Old Town
901 North Fairfax Street
Alexandria, Virginia
Phone: (703) 683-6000 Fax: (703) 683-7597 The hotel operates a regular shuttle from National Airport between 6am-10:15pm.

  DATES AND TIMES
The Institute will start at 4pm on Friday, January 31st and run through 1pm Monday February 2nd with optional lobbying Monday afternoon until 5pm. We ask that people make every effort to arrange their schedules to be there for the entire session.

  COST
The cost is $250 per person for hotel room and meals based on double occupancy, and $360 for a single. We have limited space for triples at $225 per person. We encourage people to stay at the hotel to help build community.

  SCHOLARSHIPS
We have solicited funding to subsidize travel and tuition for those in need and will apprise you of any developments. In the meantime, we encourage you to think about raising funds to supplement the costs. If you have ideas for this type of ad hoc fundraising, please share them at info@btvshalom.org or on the chapter leaders' list.
