"Reaching Out to the Other: Personal Experience of Israeli-Palestinian Peacebuilding."
You are invited to join together with other Pioneer Valley Jews who are deeply committed to Israel's well-being as a vibrant, democratic, Jewish state, and seek to end the occupation of the Palestinian territories.
On Sunday evening March 30 the Western Massachusetts Chapter of Brit Tzedek v'Shalom (Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace) is sponsoring a potluck and presentation by local poet and activist Merle Feld on "Reaching Out to the Other: Personal Experience of Israeli-Palestinian Peacebuilding." (Print out attached flyer for full details.)
The event will take place at the Smith College Field House in Northampton. The vegetarian potluck (dairy okay, no alcohol) will begin at 5pm; the program presentation will begin at 6:30 pm.
We hope you can attend the March 30 event as we take steps to build a stronger Jewish voice in Western Massachusetts for justice and peace.
If you cannot attend on March 30, we urge you to join Brit Tzedek v'Shalom. This new organization came into existence several months ago with a very ambitious strategy: to create a mass membership movement of American Jews who are pro-Israel and support a negotiated two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, an end to the occupation and evacuation of settlements. To succeed, we need everyone of you.
