Brit Tzedek v'Shalom

Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace

Chapter Activities

Capital District (Albany-Schenectady-Troy) of New York Chapter

Letter to the Editor

Rationale given for new group

Editor:

Regarding the article in the Jan. 9 edition on Brit Tzedek v'Shalom (Jewish Alliance for Justice & Peace), thank you for informing your readers about the formation of the Capital District chapter.

I have joined Brit Tzedek because it brings together Jews who are committed to Israel's well-being and who feel that security for Israel can only be achieved through the establishment of a politically viable Palestinian state and an end to Israel's occupation of land acquired during the 1967 war.

Brit Tzedek's goal is to help end terrorism and state-initiated violence against all individuals, and build a future in which both Israelis and Palestinians use non-violent means to resolve social and political inequities.
