Mitchell's job is formidable: His mission includes
helping cement the shaky cease-fire in Gaza, and getting
Israelis and Palestinians back on track toward negotiating a
permanent peace. Those who would see Israel live in true
peace and security need Congress to show that they, too, support
genuine -- and sometimes difficult -- steps toward peace.
The President said that "Senator Mitchell is fully
empowered by me and Secretary Clinton. When he speaks, he speaks
for us." Congress must make it clear that Mitchell
speaks for them as well.
Ask your Representative to co-sponsor H. Res. 130.
