The U.S. will soon elect a new President and Congress. If they are to aggressively pursue a durable peace from the start, they will need a solid political base of grassroots support. Now is a critical time for Brit Tzedek v'Shalom's work.  Will you join us?  Become a member today, as thousands of others have.

What does your membership fund?

Membership dues form the backbone of financial support for all of Brit Tzedek's work. Approximately one half of the organization's overall budget comes from contributions from our individual members (the rest is from a small number of major donors and foundations).

What do these dues cover?

  • Operating nearly 40 local chapters including covering the cost of rental space for events, advertising, photo-copying, the chapter phone, postage for our newsletters, etc. (All labor at the chapter level is volunteer so there are no chapter-level personnel costs).

  • Communicating with you through our website, electronic, and postal mailings, providing you with timely updates on late-breaking news and analysis, and with detailed resources that educate and activate the Jewish community around the country about our quest for peace.

  • Bringing leading Israeli, Palestinian and U.S. speakers to your community and around the country, and producing our innovative conferences and, most notably, our influential annual National Advocacy Days and Grassroots Leadership Training Institute. Last year, over 140 activists from around the country participated, including many young adults supported by scholarships paid in part by the annual dues of activists just like you.

  • Reaching out to the rabbis and cantors in your area and around the country, to affiliate with our 1200 plus rabbinic network, with members across all the denominations of Judaism. They initiate campaigns, bring Brit Tzedek programs to their synagogues, and produce original peace-oriented materials.

  • Working tirelessly and on a daily basis in Washington to influence policy.

  • Paying the salaries of our small, dedicated and hard-working staff, including that of the directors, chapter organizer, DC representative, and administrative staff.

  • Covering the rent for our offices in Chicago, New York, and Washington, which serve as the hubs from which all the efforts described above emanate.

In other words, dues are the vital lifeblood of the organization -- both for the chapters, including your own, and for the national organization.  Joining Brit Tzedek is a significant way to support the organization, and help it in its effort to bring about a two-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Won't you join us today?
