Please come to our NYC Open Chapter Meeting and Brunch
Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 12:30 p.m.
at 114 West 26th St (between 6th and 7th Ave.), 10th floor.
Note: You do not need to be a Brit Tzedek member to attend.
Meet Dr. David Albert,
national board member of Brit Tzedek and U.S.-Israel policy expert from  Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas, to  speak on:

"60 Years of Defining and Redefining Israel's Strategic Value to the U.S."

This is an issue that has been front and center, especially since the publication of the articles and book by Professors Mearsheimer and Walt and the dozens of critical analyses that have followed. After Dr. Albert's talk we will have an informal and undoubtedly animated discussion. Prof. Albert will be presenting his paper on the subject at the Association for Israel Studies conference at NYU during the week of May 19.

Hear about Brit Tzedek's Grassroots Training Institute and National  Advocacy Days in Washington, coming up June 21-June 24, and how you can  be a part of these four important days of activism and Congressional  advocacy for a negotiated, just, two-state resolution of the  Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Join us now to participate!

Go to Brit Tzedek v'Shalom's web site  to learn more and  to register for Advocacy Days.

We look forward to seeing you Sunday, May 18 at 12:30 p.m.

FORWARD THIS TO YOUR LISTS: Pro-Israel, Pro-Peace Voices on Capital Hill, June 21-24

** Advocate with us for a negotiated two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict **

During NATIONAL ADVOCACY DAYS last year, 120 Brit Tzedek v'Shalom activists from across the country converged in Washington, DC to take part in four intense days of organizing, training, networking, and advocating in
support of our pro-Israel, pro-peace message. For the first time ever, the Grassroots Leadership Training Institute and National Advocacy Days brought together the twin pillars of Brit Tzedek's mission: organizing
American Jews and advocating for a two-state resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. And the impact in Washington has already been felt! In the two weeks after Brit Tzedek activists attended over 100 meetings on Capitol Hill, 10 Members of Congress, whose offices we met with signed on to the resolutions we were supporting at that time! This year we hope to continue and build on that success.
