IPCRI Tour Going Strong After 7 Cities

Baskin and Siniora with Brit Tzedek v'Shalom Interim Executive Director Diane Balser at Temple Israel, Boston, MA   Baskin and Siniora address the Southern Center for International Studies in Atlanta, GA

"Everywhere we go people are inspired by the message of hope that we deliver. We identify the common ground for political and social action between Israelis, Palestinians and the American Jewish community toward advancing the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. We have been having compelling and engaging conversations that confront the primary challenges facing all three communities."
- Gershon Baskin, Co-Founder of IPCRI

Read Gershon Baskin's Op/Ed "A Presidential Peacemaker" in The Jewish Advocate online.

Gershon Baskin and Hanna Sinioria, co-directors of the Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information (IPCRI), will continue touring with their message of hope and peace to Los Angeles, Denver, New York City, and finally Providence. (See remaining tour schedule below.)

Founded in January 1988, at the beginning of the first Intifada, IPCRI serves as a joint Israeli-Palestinian think-tank and "do-tank," aiming to create and develop new concepts and ideas that enrich the political and public discourse in order to influence decision makers and to challenge the current political reality. IPCRI recognizes the rights of the Jewish people and the Palestinian people to fulfill their national interests within the framework of achieving national self-determination within their own states and by establishing peaceful relations between two democratic states living side-by-side.

Selected Tour Highlights

  • Boston, Massachusetts:  Baskin and Siniora told an audience of 120 at Temple Israel in Boston that "a framework agreement for the resolution of the Israeli-Paliestnian conflict is within reach."

  • Ann Arbor, Michigan: Baskin and Siniora spoke to a diverse crowd that included Arab-Americans at the Univeresity of Michigan-Dearborn. Students personally showed their gratitude to Siniora and Baskin for laying out the possibilities of peace for the future.

  • Bay Area, California: Baskin and Siniora were received at the Kahilla Synagogue of the East Bay in California. The audience resonated deeply with the poignancy of the IPCRI/Brit Tzedek message and agreed that American Jews and American Arabs need to be open to be open to compromises supported by their respective peoples in Israel and Palestine.
