What Now? Candid Thoughts on the Middle East
Join longtime Jewish teacher, writer, analyst and activist
Leonard Fein who will share his thinking on questions such as:
For those who care deeply about Israel , what are the
implications of recent events? How do we understand Israel's
actions in Lebanon and Gaza? What is the status of democracy in
Israel? What actions are open to U.S. Jews who wish to see
Israel thrive and believe efforts to achieve a negotiated two
state solution are the most hopeful course?

Leonard Fein's contributions to American Jewish life over the
last 3-4 decades have been so wide ranging and fundamental that
it is hard to imagine contemporary Jewish life without him. He
is the founder of Moment Magazine, Mazon: A Jewish Response to
Hunger, and the National Jewish Coalition for Literacy. His
writing has covered a broad range of Jewish subjects and he
currently authors a syndicated Op Ed column for the Forward.

He has been an advisor to many including universities, Jewish
organizations, and presidential and congressional campaigns. He
has received a host of honors for his significant and original
contributions.

Join us to hear his honest and provocative commentary on the
current situation in the Mideast and the challenges for American
Jews.

Join a community gathering to commemorate the life and work of
Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin who was assassinated during his
term of office in 1995. The event will include reflections on
the late Prime Minister, music and poetry readings. Yuval Rabin,
the son of the late Prime Minister will be a special guest. The
ceremony will be conducted in English and Hebrew.

Presented by the Consulate General of Israel to New England,
Hebrew College, and the Jewish Community Relations Council's
Israel Action Center.
