Join us for a party as we celebrate the new year and old and new
business just food, talk, fun and a hilarious 20-minute movie!
"West Bank Story" is a musical comedy about David, an Israeli
Fatima, a Palestinian fast food cashier - an unlikely couple who
love amidst the animosity of their families' dueling falafel
stands in the
Tensions mount when the Kosher King's new pastry machine juts
Hut property. The Palestinians ruin the machine and the Israelis
building a wall between the two eating establishments.
The couple professes their love for each other, triggering a
chain of events
that destroys both restaurants and forces all to find common
ground in an
effort to rebuild, planting a seed of hope.
West Bank Story was directed and co-written by American Ari
Sandel, who has
traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and is very
various political organizations for peace in the region. The
Ari's passion for politics with his natural penchant for comedy.
"West Bank Story" has won numerous film-festival awards,
including "Best in
Fest" at the HBO/US Comedy Arts Film Festival and "Grand Prize"
at the Stony
Brook Film Festival.

2) "Breaking the Silence: Israeli Soldiers Speak Out"

Two former Israeli soldiers and current "Breaking the Silence"
members, Dotan Greenvald and Yehuda Shaul, speak about their
experiences serving in the West Bank. "Breaking the Silence" is
an organization dedicated to revealing the day-to-day character
of the military occupation of Palestinian.
The first initiative of these former Israeli soldiers was a
photo exhibition: "Breaking the Silence ? Fighters Tell About
Hebron". The project grew out of the soldiers? desire to show to
their families and to the country as a whole what had largely
remained hidden from view. For the first time, a window was
opened to the world of soldiers serving in Hebron, a
predominantly Palestinian-Arab community within which a
Jewish-only settlement had been established. Thousands of
Israelis have viewed the exhibition from all walks of life,
perhaps most important, many other Israeli soldiers and their

interview and document the testimony of hundreds of former
combat soldiers, the true character of the Israeli occupation
