Dear Friends of Brit Tzedek

At Passover we remember how we were liberated from Egypt, how oppressive conditions eventually gave way to new hope and freedom. Likewise today, though the situation is hard, we must continue to keep our eyes on the prize; a just solution for Israelis and Palestinians.

Brit Tzedek is strong and growing, with more than 33 chapters and 33,000 supporters around the country, and we are already making a difference. If we truly have Israel's best interests at heart, we need to stay organized, visible, and vocal as we work toward a negotiated, two-state solution. To continue our vital task, we must have your support. Please give as generously as you can by clicking here.

Just recently Brit Tzedek spearheaded a letter signed by nearly 400 rabbis across the United States from the full denominational spectrum, asking the president to "constructively engage" with moderate Palestinians and to continue funding for indirect humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian via Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). In addition, our national grassroots networks campaigned to urge congressional representatives to oppose severe restrictions on humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.

After recently establishing Brit Tzedek's Washington office, we now have the staff and the credibility to respond quickly to -- and influence - new legislation. Our daily presence on Capitol Hill, coupled with constituent e-mails, letters, and phone calls from grassroots activists all over the country, ensures that our message of peace and justice is not only heard but heeded.

Brit Tzedek must continue to be a persistent voice for the only way to achieve long-term peace: through a negotiated settlement with international borders agreed on by both sides. Now more than ever, it is important to strengthen Brit Tzedek's message of peace, justice, and hope from the Jewish people to Congress and the Administration.

Please celebrate peace and hope this Pesach with Brit Tzedek by making a gift of $50, $75, $100, $500, $1000 or more today by clicking here or if you prefer to contribute by fax, click here.

Passover is a time when Jews traditionally come together as a community, no matter how uncertain the times. And together we can and will bring peace.
