1) THIS TUESDAY - November 1
Town Hall Meeting "The Day after Disengagement"
7:30 PM, Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward Street, Newton
For directions: http://www.templeemanuel.com/directions.htm
We strongly urge you to participate in this community event, an
open forum for community dialogue on Israel, held by the Jewish
Community Relations Council (JCRC). The evening will begin with
a talk by David Baker, Senior Foreign Press Coordinator for the
Prime Minister of Israel, followed by an opportunity for
audience members to offer their comments or questions.
At past JCRC town Hall meetings, Brit Tzedek has turned out in
large numbers. Our organization's presence was felt -- and
remarked on. It is important that we make our voices heard in
the community on the need for a negotiated two-state solution to
the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Please come prepared to ask
engaging questions, and to have respectful dialogue with members
of the audience. We'll be bringing a supply of Brit Tzedek
buttons so that can make our presence known -- if you want to
wear one, please look out for us.
