Dear Member,

Your Brit Tzedek membership has lapsed, and we want you with us.  I hope that you will renew now and continue to stand behind our efforts to create an alternative voice within the American Jewish community, a force working to achieve the peace and security that both Israelis and Palestinians deserve and desire. Please renew your membership today.

We are now 31,000 strong, making us the largest grassroots Jewish peace organization in the United States. And make no mistake: when we speak on your behalf to elected officials and members of the American Jewish community, numbers count. You count. In a conflict fraught with extremism on all sides, Brit Tzedek provides an alternative Jewish voice of common sense and compassion. Your membership in Brit Tzedek reaffirms your commitment to be counted amongst us when we advocate for a lasting two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

We are at a critical juncture for the future of Israel. Stephen P. Cohen, the acclaimed scholar of Middle Eastern diplomacy, wrote of our work in the Boston Globe:

"If there is to be a revival of peace talks, it will require an American public willing to insist that its president put the Arab-Israeli peace process at the center of his agenda and commit to a just peace between a Palestinian state and the state of Israel. When Americans make this demand, it will be thanks to groups like Brit Tzedek for taking the lead."

This last year was extremely successful for Brit Tzedek as an organization. We grew to 32 local chapters, held dozens of meetings with Senators, Congressional Representatives and senior administration figures, organized hundreds of educational events in Jewish communities across the nation, and sent thousands of letters to congress and the administration advocating for pro-peace, pro-Israel positions. And what's more, congressional leaders are telling us that we are really starting to change their assumptions about where the Jewish community stands on these issues. But all of this requires professional staff and paid publicity. Over half our annual budget comes from annual contributors like you.

Please renew today - there is so much at stake. You can also mail or fax your renewal form with a check or credit card payment.
