SIGN NOW: Campaign for American Leadership in the Middle East

Dear Friend of Brit Tzedek,

Please sign on to an important national petition that has been initiated by an ad hoc group, the Campaign for American Leadership in the Middle East (CALME). This petition calls on the President to make a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a "central and sustained objective" of U.S. foreign policy. To add your name to this petition, go to http://www.mideastcalm.org/btvshalom. Brit Tzedek is actively working to build support for this initiative. As President and Vice President of Brit Tzedek, we were both among the American leaders who initially signed this petition.

This broad-based initiative has the potential to amass large numbers of signatures of Americans concerned about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. And Brit Tzedek, as the country's largest grassroots Jewish peace movement, has a valuable contribution to make to this effort. Your signature will help to demonstrate to the Administration and the Congress that there is substantial support for proactive policies that successfully move the peace process forward. With your help, we can rapidly get this effort off to a successful start, http://www.mideastcalm.org/btvshalom.

Please sign the petition at  and send it to everyone you know who has an interest in the Middle East.

B'shalom,

Marcia Freedman, President
Diane Balser, Vice President
