Experience in journalistic research and writing and knowledge about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict are strongly desired. The position is based in Brit Tzedek's national office in downtown Chicago and is full-time for eight weeks for a total of $2500. In-Kind Contributions

Donate Your Photos of Israel and the Occupied Territories: Brit Tzedek is working to increase the visual impact of our website and our listserv messages. Your digital photographs of Israel and the occupied territories would be a valuable contribution to this effort. We are particularly interested in pictures of Gaza, the settlements and any celebration of holidays in Israel. Please send photos in .jpg or .tif format with specific instructions on how you will like the photograph credited, to Leila@btvshalom.org.

Vounteer Opportunities

Media Mentors: The media committee is seeking several seasoned public relations professionals and journalists to serve as mentors for our chapters' media representatives who are undertaking a comprehensive, year-long training program to increase media capacity at the local level. Each mentor will be assigned a single advisee, with whom he/she will work to develop and implement an individualized media plan for that chapter. Although the work schedule will be largely need driven and thus irregular, it is unlikely that the time commitment will exceed 5-6 hours per month. For more information, please contact Jessica@btvshalom.org.

Fact Sheet Researchers and Writers: Our Public Information Committee is creating a series of fact sheets on a variety of issues related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to lend their expertise on a specific topic or to research a topic of personal interest to help build this valuable educational resource. To get involved, please contact Marcia@btvshalom.org.

Membership Committee Volunteers: Do you have a little time to help Brit Tzedek grow? Volunteer with the national Membership Committee. Help wanted in the following areas: graphic design and review, copy writing, data collection and analysis, research, reviewing and providing feedback on alternative campaigns, odd jobs, chapter level follow-up and outreach. Write to Donna@btvshalom.org with your availability, skills and interests.

Volunteers in Chicago and New York Offices: We are always looking for volunteers to support the work of our national offices in Chicago and New York. There are any number of ways to get involved that will strengthen Brit Tzedek: administrative assistance, event planning, graphic design, writing and editing. We welcome diverse talents and experience and are willing to accommodate individual interests. For more information about volunteering in Chicago, please contact Leila@btvshalom.org. For information about volunteering in New York, please contact Carinne@btvshalom.org.
