Rob Levy joined Brit Tzedek at the end of 2005 to start up our new national advocacy office in Washington, DC. Rob has been active in Israel peace affairs since college where he co-founded Salaam/Shalom, an intercultural Israeli/Palestinian peace group at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, Rob spent a year as a legislative assistant at the Religious Action Center (RAC), the public policy arm of the Reform Jewish movement, where he was the key staffer on Israel and helped draft the Reform movement's resolution supporting disengagement from Gaza. Upon completing his RAC fellowship, Rob flew to Alaska to spend three months as a field organizer for the Tony Knowles for Senate campaign. Rob returned to Washington and began working as a legislative correspondent in the office of Senator Jon Corzine (NJ). Following Sen. Corzine's election to governor, Rob became Brit Tzedek’s first Washington Representative.
