Rabbi George Gittleman holds a BA in history from the University of Vermont, and a Master's of Hebrew Letters as well as Rabbinic Ordination from the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion. He is the first full-time rabbi of Congregation Shomrei Torah in Santa Rosa California where he is in the midst of his 10th year of service as their spiritual leader. He is a past president of the Santa Rosa Interfaith Minister of Association, and a founder of the Hate Free Community Project of Santa Rosa. He is currently a rabbinic fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. Rabbi Gittleman is married to Laura Gittleman, and he is blessed with twin 10 year olds, Levi and Sophie.
