Organizing Listening Projects in Synagogues and Jewish Organizations
Cherie Brown

There are many Jews within our local synagogues, Jewish community centers, and other Jewish organizations who could and would join Brit Tzedek if they were first effectively listened to about their feelings and concerns about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Resistance to the work of Brit Tzedek can be overcome by many more Jews if we can take the initiative to create safe environments where Jews can be listened to about their worries and concerns for Israel. Listening is one of the most reliable tools for shifting attitudes and winning allies. This session will demonstrate a specific replicable model of how activists can set up listening projects within their local synagogues, Jewish community Centers, or other Jewish organizations.
