|Learning from the Campus Context: Building Vibrant Activist Communities
Joseph Gindi and Eli Staub
This session seeks to provide the vision and tools for integrating community building into political activism. Students with experience creating this kind of integrated activist community will facilitate a discussion, brainstorming, and networking session with others interested in campus and peace activism. While participants will be exposed to some of the basic skills and tools of activism, emphasis will be placed on techniques for building community within activist groups. Participants will leave empowered to create environments that will facilitate progressive Jewish peace activism. The structure of the workshop itself is intended to serve as a model for building activist communities of all types.
