Irena Klepfisz is an associate professor of Womenıs Studies at Barnard College. She also teaches Yiddish, Yiddish translation and Yiddish literature at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research. She has written extensively on anti-Semitism, Jewish identity, peace in the Middle East, class, and Jewish culture. She was executive director of New Jewish Agenda from 1990-1992.
