Since the first Zionist Congress met in 1897, there have been many different kinds of Zionism, both secular and religious. Jewish support for Zionism in the Diaspora changed dramatically during the twentieth century. What is the position today? Does Zionism have a future? If so, in what form? Or is a "post-Zionist" Israel in the best interests of the state and of Jewish communities around the world?
