Promoting Tolerance in a Post-Durban/Post-911 World: Practitioners Discuss Anti-Racism Work in Their Communities
Sarah Elshazly and Sybil Kessler
Due to conflict, personal hatred based on ethnic or racial identity can become a larger attitude of racism between groups. Panelists will present a creed of universalism and anti-racism from their respective Arab and Jewish communities. The presenters will speak about the principles that unite them as practitioners of peace, and the daily challenges that they encounter in their jobs. The discussion will be opened for others to discuss related issues.
