Alisa Solomon, a member of the Baruch faculty of CUNY and the Director of Undergraduate Journalism since 1987, while continuing to write news features, cultural criticism and essays for a variety of publications, including the Village Voice, The New York Times, Newsday, and the Los Angeles Times among others. She has also written and edited a number of books on a variety of topics, including, most recently, “Wrestling with Zion.” This book is an ingathering of some of the most important writers and thinkers in modern Jewish-American life to address American Jews’ response to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. She co-edited this book with the playwright Tony Kushner.
