Daniel Orenstein is a Ph.D. candidate at Brown University though the Center for Environmental Studies. He is focusing his studies on demographics, policy, and economic drivers of land use/cover change (LUCC) in Israel. In addition to his Ph.D. research, Orenstein initiated and participates in the Middle East Environment Futures Project, which brings together Middle Eastern and North American environmental scholars to develop innovative, interdisciplinary, and policy relevant environmental research on Israel and Palestine.
