Dr. Tony Klug is a veteran Middle East analyst. After completing a first degree in economics and a master's degree in international relations, he wrote his doctoral dissertation on the Israeli occupation of the West Bank. He has been advocating a two-state solution since the early 1970's and more recently has called for a transitional international protectorate over the West Bank and Gaza Strip. His A Tale of Two Peoples was one of the first cogent arguments for a two-state solution. His book The Only Way Out advocated a unilateral Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank. In the past, he has served as Deputy President of the British National Union of Students, Co-chair of the Council for Jewish-Palestinian Dialogue and has served as Head of International Development at Amnesty International.
