Assessing the Security Barrier
Tony Klug

Is Israel's 'security barrier' a wall snaking through the West Bank, throwing up obstacles to a future peaceful coexistence between the states of Israel and Palestine? Or is the barrier a fence protecting Israelís home front from terrorism, exemplifying Robert Frostís proverb that fences make good neighbors? What are the short and long-term implications of the wall for a negotiated two state solution? Join two experienced experts on the Israeli-Palestinian who will share insights and analysis about the barrier and its implications for the future of negotiations conflict in a discussion about this controversial project. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss strategies for talking about the barrier among BTVS supporters and potential supporters. The intention is to equip participants with information, stimulate deeper analysis and provide a model for bringing a discussion of the wall's implications into local Jewish communities.
