| Ahlam Akram
is a peace and human rights activist of Palestinian origin. She is a researcher and writer in Arabic newspaper and a regular commentator on issues of democracy and human rights on Arabic television. At the outset of the initifada, she initiated the Joint Action for Israeli and Palestinian Peace. She is committed to cooperative work with those within the Jewish community who similarly work for a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. She lobbies with Jews for Justice for Palestinians and serves on the executive committee of the Arab-Jewish Forum in London.
