Urge your Rep. to co-sponsor H. Res. 1369 supporting grassroots Israeli-Palestinian peace-building efforts
Dear Friend of Brit Tzedek,
Urge your representative to co-sponsor House Resolution 1369: Recognizing Nongovernmental Organizations Working To Bring Just and Lasting Peace Between Israelis and Palestinians.
Every day thousands of ordinary Israelis and Palestinians overcome social and physical barriers to come together and cooperate in grassroots organizations critical to building widespread public support for peace. Parents and children talk and learn together, business enterprises are launched, and environmental concerns are addressed. These efforts are vital in building trust between Israelis and Palestinians and are a crucial step in securing a just and sustainable peace.
This Resolution expresses strong American support for these peace-building projects:
* proclaims that the organizations involved in this work deserve recognition and encouragement to continue their important work in paving a path to peace;
* acknowledges that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is at a critical stage and that these projects build peace from the ground up;
* asserts U.S. support, and urges Israeli and Palestinian political leaders to recognize and embrace these initiatives as well.

Political agreements require building popular support for peace among both Israelis and Palestinians. Let your representatives know that American Jews support this way forward!
